Transportation Dept Personnel Sent to Flood-Prone Areas

Welcoming rainy season, Jakarta Transportation Department is going to send their personnel in flood-prone areas. It also aims to parse traffic jam.

Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Department said as the initial step, his side will collect the data of flood and traffic jam-prone areas.

To optimize it, his department has cooperated with army and police. As planned, a total of 580 personnel of Police/Army assigned to regulate traffic in capital.

“Police and army have supported us by sending 580 personnel. This policy also aims to control the motorist who are sheltering,” he stated.
